MailGuard / Terms
MailGuard terms of service
Review draft prepared on 16 October 2026. These terms are not yet offered as an effective contract. Operator details, service conditions and data-handling arrangements must be finalized before external enrollment.
The service
MailGuard lets an approved user send a selected email to the SecOpsLife security team for investigation. The current Gmail flow preserves the original and lets an analyst record a verdict and a comment for the reporter.
MailGuard is operated by Denis Iana under the SecOpsLife name. Support contact: mailguard@secopslife.ro. This draft does not assert an incorporated business or a public commercial launch.
Access and authorization
Access requires approval of the intended account and the necessary Google authorization. Installation or inclusion as a development tester does not replace provider distribution approval.
Use the service only for messages you are entitled to submit. Do not submit another person’s mailbox contents without authority. An initial unused account approval expires after 48 hours and can be reissued by the operator.
What the current Gmail version does
The Gmail add-on reads the message selected for reporting, rather than continuously scanning the Inbox. It does not move messages to Spam, restore them to Inbox or delete them.
The saved-report confirmation is separate from email delivery. A notification may be delayed, filtered or rejected by an email provider. Keep the report reference if support is needed.
Analyst findings reflect available evidence. No verdict guarantees that a message or attachment is safe, and the service does not replace the user’s other security controls.
Using MailGuard responsibly
- Use the reporting function for its intended security-review purpose.
- Do not try to bypass account approval, client boundaries, reporting limits or audit controls.
- Do not submit content solely to overload the service, send unsolicited notifications or test unauthorized targets.
- Keep your own account secure and tell the operator if you suspect misuse.
Availability, limits and fees
Technical reporting limits apply and may result in an explicit limit message. The current release has no published 24/7 support or response-time commitment.
Pricing, any pilot period and future paid-service conditions have not been approved in this draft. No payment obligation, perpetual free-service promise or automatic subscription is created by this page.
Ending access
You can uninstall the add-on, revoke Google authorization and request removal of your MailGuard access. The operator can restrict future reporting to address misuse or a security issue.
Access revocation and deletion of previously submitted data are different operations. The approved privacy notice must explain the actual retention and deletion arrangements.
Before these terms can take effect
These review notes are not a liability waiver or a substitute for the final service terms.
- Confirm the legal identity, business status, required contact information and intended user group.
- Approve service availability, fees if any, cancellation and applicable consumer rights.
- Complete the privacy notice and implement the agreed retention and deletion process.
- Finalize change notices, complaints and dispute handling without excluding mandatory legal rights.
